In menu, settings, update, the settings for program updates are greyed out, and you can't change them, or even see what they are currently set to. However when I clicked on "remove licence", it gave a message "an error occurred during licence removal" (see screen print below), and the main screen still says "AVG Internet security".ģ. Fortunately I didn't have any of the problems that xxyyz xxyyz had. Right-click the downloaded setup file avastsecurebrowsersetup.exe, and select Run as administrator from the context menu. I downloaded the offline AVG installer for Windows XP using the above link, and installed AVG on my Win XP Pro SP3 system.
